The ‘From Here’ drop-down menu: Navigating with respect to the current page.

The ‘From Here’ drop-down menu: Navigating with respect to the current page.

When viewing deeply-nested content, you should see a ‘from-here’ menu in the main menu bar (javascript must be available and enabled to see this option).
This is organised into ‘directions’ for convenient navigation to the pages ‘around’ the currently showing page
‘Ancestors’ or ‘Upwards’ links are breadcrumbs back up the path to the top-level of the NGRF site.
‘Here’ is a link to the currently showing page, included to helo you refer to this content (just right-click this link and ‘copy as shortcut’, then you can paste into an email message, etc - NB your browser may have different wording for ‘‘copy as shortcut’)
‘Siblings’ or ‘Sideways’ links point to other pages in the same section as this one - pages that have the same ‘parent’ page
‘Children’ or ‘Downwards’ links point to the sub-content of the current page, if there is any.

‘Making Guidance More Effective’ - the drop-down navigation menu

‘Making Guidance More Effective’ - the drop-down navigation menu

Note that you can navigate directly to any of the 9 main subsections of ‘Making Guidance More Effective’ from any page in the NGRF
Just click the icon to the right of the ‘Effective Guidance’ navigation tab and choose from the drop-down menu (javascript must be available and enabled to see this option).
There are similar menus for the LMI Future Trends and LMI-Learning Modules.
When viewing deeply-nested content, there is also a ‘from-here’ menu - see the next slide for an example.

‘Making Guidance More Effective’ - deeply nested pages (bottom-level ‘leaves’ - with no further sub-links)

Deeply-nested content will comprise some textual content and - if there are further levels of content ‘inside’ - further links.
In this example there are no further sub-sections inside this, so there are no internal-navigation links - just textual content
